Studio Fit is no longer in operation, but its owner Angela Copeland, operating as Azaya Pilates + Yoga, still works with clients at area health/fitness clubs and offers in-home private sessions in the Castle Rock area. Booty Barre: Booty Barre is an all-body workout with special emphasis on the hips and legs. Borrowing from ballet, yoga and Pilates, you’ll do smaller isometric moves that work both small and large muscle groups. Expect to break a sweat as the pace does create a cardio element to class as well. Many of the exercises are done at the barre, but also includes work on the mats, with hand weights and other props. This is a barefoot class.
PiYo: PiYo is designed to create lean muscle mass in order to burn fat more rapidly. These workouts are designed to be low impact, yet high intensity. The low impact PiYo workout will be great for any man or woman that is interested in slimming down and toning up. When completing PiYo you will use your body weight to burn fat and redefine every single muscle. The continuous series of moves in PiYo will help you define exactly how you want to look and feel. Designed as a barefoot class. We do use mats in this class.
TRX:TRX workout system leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. You’re in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise – because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.
Yoga: All of our yoga classes are nonreligious and focus on the physical movements and asanas (postures/poses) and breathing techniques. Yoga Flow is a slow flow in which you move from pose to pose with the breath. Yoga-All Levels holds poses a little longer (up to about 30 to 45 seconds) to enhance endurance. Gentle Yoga has a greater focus on alignment and basic poses. All classes have elements of strength and stretch and usually balance as well. Designed as a barefoot class.
